Over 60 certificates have been awarded to varsities by Hertfordshire County Council for collaborating within the standard Bikeability coaching programme.

The programme is all about equipping pupils with sensible expertise and understanding of learn how to cycle on roads, in addition to giving them the boldness to get freewheeling.

The Bikeability Belief has launched a brand new faculty certificates this 12 months for dedication to delivering Bikeability coaching to college students.

Mairéad Waugh mentioned: “We’re delighted with the elevated take-up year-on-year with the Bikeability programme. It’s good watching the youngsters develop in confidence and use their expertise to assist make our native space a greener place.

“It has elevated the variety of youngsters biking to high school to such an extent that we are actually sourcing funding for added cycle storage. It has even inspired extra of the employees to cycle.”

The certificates not solely informs the college group in regards to the dedication to cycle coaching, it can be included as proof in a journey plan for a Modeshift Stars accreditation.
